Busy month ...

It turns out July is one of the busiest months on the international sports calenders. Should be fun.

June 14 - 28: FIFA Confederations Cup - The USA lost to Brazil in the finals.
June 15 - 29: UEFA U21 championships - Germany plays England in the finals tonight.
June 17 - 27: Women's Lacrosse World Cup - The USA won, Canada 3rd, Haudenosaunee 11th, and the Netherlands 13th.
June 18 - 21: U.S. Open (golf) - Lucas Glover won, Mike Weir and Steven Ames came 10th.
June 21 - July 4: World Junior Gliding Championships - Chris Gough sitting 43rd.
June 22: UEFA Champions League and Europa League draw - Pretty good draw for the teams featuring Canadians.
June 22: UEFA Regions Cup Final - Oltenia lost to Castilla y León
June 22 - 25: UEFA women's U17 championship - Germany beat Spain 7-0 in the final.
June 22 - July 5: Wimbledon - Wozniak lost in the 1st round.
June 23: AFC Cup, R16, 2nd leg - Home United FC failed to advance.
June 24: AFC Champions League, R16, 2nd leg - Suwon Bluewings failed to advance.
June 24 - 25: Copa Libertadores, SF, 1st leg - Nacional lost the first leg.

June 6 - 21: Churchill Cup - Canada lost in the Plate final, `Ireland A' won.
June 7 - 20: EuroBasket Women - Top 3: France, Russia, Spain
June 11 - 21: World Women's Twenty20 Cricket Championships - England beat New Zealand in the final.
June 17 - 21: FIFA World Cup Qualifying (AFC and CAF) - Uzbekistan lost to Bahrain.
June 14 - 28: FIFA Confederations Cup - Iraq eliminated. USA qualify in a drama filled Sunday.
June 15 - 29: UEFA U21 championships - Germany have won and drawn. They need a draw to be sure of advancing.
June 17 - 21: CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship - El Salvador beat Costa Rica in the final. Canada came in 5th.
June 17 - 18: Copa Libertadores, QF, 2nd leg - Defensor Sporting failed to advance.
June 17 - 27: Women's Lacrosse World Cup - Canada sit 3rd in the 'A' group, Haudenosaunee sit 1st in the 'C' group, and the Netherlands sit 3rd in the 'C' group.
June 18: Canadian Championship, final match (TFC at Montreal Impact) - TFC won 6-1 and the championship. They now qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League.
June 18 - 21: U.S. Open (golf) - Mike Weir sits 7th, 6 off the leader. Can he make a miracle happen?
June 21: Queen's Plate - Eye of the Leopard won, Rapid Release finished a dissapointing 8th.
June 21 - July 4: World Junior Gliding Championships - Events haven't started yet.
