Hockey, hockey and more hockey

April is a big month for international ice hockey. Usually the U18s are wrapping up, the women's tourneys are going on, and the men's tourneys are starting up.

March 29 - April 4: World U18 Ice Hockey Championships, divison Ib - Latvia is promoted, Italy is relegated.
March 30 - April 5: Canadian Masters Curling Championships - Manitoba upset BC for the men's title, Saskatchewan upset Alberta for the women's
March 31 - April 1: World Cup of Soccer Qualifying - Mostly favourites won, except Argentina lost 6-1 to Bolivia.
April 3 - 4: Synchronized Skating World Championship - Canada wins!
April 3 - 12: World Curling Championship - Kevin Martin with a perfect record thus far.
April 4 - 10: World Women's Ice Hockey Championships, division I - Germany, Austria, Slovakia all winners on the first day.
April 4 - 12: World Women's Ice Hockey Championships - Canada beat China 13-1 on day one.
April 4 - 6: African Champions League, 1/16 finals, 2nd leg - Ajax Cape Town lost.
April 5: UEFA Women's Cup, semifinals, 2nd leg - UmeƄ IK lost to a Russian team

To keep with your theme, don't forget about NCAA Hockey. The Frozen Four face off this week, with the first 16th seed to make it in the history of the tournament!

Semifinal matches go April 9th, with the finals on the 11th!

There's also the Dallas Cup, a marquee football tournament for football academies. Toronto and Vancouver are both participating.
