Good showing for Canada in Aqautics, now onto the World Shotgun Championships!

It's mostly international club competitions that are heating up now ...

Last Week:
July 17 - August 2: World Aquatics Championships - Canada finished 20th with 9 medals (no gold :(), but got silver in Women's Water Polo!
July 21 - August 2: UEFA U19 championship - England lost to Ukraine 2-0 in the final.
July 23 - August 2: Women's World U19 Basketball Championships - Canada came in 4th, the USA won.
July 23 - August 2: U18 European Basketball Championship, division B - the Netherlands came in 6th, Sweden won.
July 23 - August 2: U18 European Basketball Championship, division A - Serbia won, Germany came 11th.
July 26 - August 8: Women's World Gliding Championship - Gillian Spreckley's currently in 3rd.
July 27 - 31: OFC Beach Soccer Championship - Solomon Islands beat Vanatu in the finals.
July 27 - August 2: Women's World Bowling Championships - Sadly, Canada didn't place in any of the events.
July 27 - August 2: World Outgames - Unfortunately they don't summarise any of the results on their website, so I can't say how Canada did.
July 28 - 29: UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round, 1st leg - FC Copenhagen up 3-1.
July 28 - 30: UEFA Europa League, 3rd qualifying round, 1st leg - Club Brugge up 3-2.
July 28 - 30: CONCACAF Champions League, Preliminary round, 1st leg - TFC lost 0-1.
July 29 - August 2: Centrobasket for U16 Women - Bahamas withdrew, Mexico won.
July 29 - August 8: World Junior Squash Championships - No luck for the Canadians, now onto the team competition.
July 30 - August 2: Women's British Open - Catriona Matthew won, Alena Sharp missed the cut.
July 30 - August 3: The Ashes, 3rd test - England could get a crucial win today.
July 30 - August 4: UEFA Women's Champions League, Qualifying round - Team Strømmen sits atop of their group.
July 30 - August 9: U16 European Women's Basketball Championship - Germany current sits in the relegation group.
July 30 - August 9: U16 European Women's Basketball Championship, division B - the Netherlands sit 1st in their group.
July 31 - August 2: CAF Champions League, Group stage - ZESCO United lost 1-0.
August 1 - 2: CAF Confederation Cup - AS Vita Club won 1-0.
August 2: Breeders' Stakes (Canadian Triple Crown) - Eye of the Leopard came 11th, Perfect Shower won.
