Out of the Gold Cup ...

Hopefully the world games will grant some solace, although not likely.

July 4 - 14: AFC Women's Championship qualification - Myanmar qualified!
July 6 - 15: U20 Women's European Basketball Championship, Division B - The Netherlands won!
July 9 - 19: U20 Women's European Basketball Championship, Division A - France beat Spain in the gold medal match.
July 10 - 12: Davis Cup, Americas Zone, Group I, 2nd round playoffs - Canada beat Peru.
July 10 - 12: Davis Cup, Americas Zone, Group II, 2nd round playoffs - the Netherlands Antillies beat Jamaica.
July 10 - 12: Davis Cup, Asia/Oceania Zone, Group I, 1st round playoffs - South Korea beat China.

July 14 - 15: UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round, 1st leg - Ekranas Panevezys drew 2-2.
July 15: Copa Libertadores, Final, 1st leg - Estudiantes won.
July 16: UEFA Europa League, 2nd qualifying round, 1st leg - Go Tromsø IL drew 0-0.
July 16 - 19: British Open - Stewart Cink won in a playoff, Mike Weir and Stephen Ames missed the cut.
July 16 - 20: The Ashes, 2nd test - Australia have to get 208 runs in 5 outs or England wins this test.
July 16 - 26: U20 Men's European Basketball Championship, Division A - Germany is in the relegation round.
